But once the South's lack of any real industry and the major difference in numbers kicked in, and the North got generals like Grant and Sherman who exploited this gap, it was pretty one-sided. By the end the South didn't even have an army left to fight with. Also, the inclusion of African American regiments in the Union army helped turn the tide. They were very capable soldiers because they knew they were fighting for their peoples freedom.
