Say thou were Jew, brought-up in the religion so that thou had no real or other context, too prejudiced towards one's own, and then say that Jew looked upon the large ostensive "Christian" society/culture--and remember this would include <b>not only the real, true Christianity</b>, but also in addition all the off-shoots and various marginalist look-alikes and knock-offs of the real thing (like Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, et al). THEN, that which thou here sees as mere crass mockery might begin to making more sense, eh?

But it wouldn't really be, or ONLY be a "mockery" of the real thing, would it?--for even if it was, it would just roll off like water off duck's back--as the real, true Christianity can easily withstand such pathetic attempts and endeavors, eh? It would rather be a larger, broader sort of "mockery" of the whole, large, entire complex, including not only the real, true Christianity, wouldn't it?--which is otherwise hidden or at least blurred quite a bit. And then it ("McJesus") makes more sense, not only to any Jew brought-up exclusively in that religion, BUT ALSO, quite possibly, to any other non-Christian--Hindus, Buddhists, et al., even the Musselmen who otherwise acknowledge Christ, though only as prophet.

I maintain thus it's (McJesus) legitimate art w. genuine merit and real substance--as serious Christian myself, it doesn't bother me, really--thou needeth to broaden thy aesthetical perspective, buddy--get "hip" as the beatniks used to say.

Just ck the recent news: in California, the state pensions ("CALPERS") to be paid to retirees have been HEAVILY reduced (a), and (b) inflation has gone up, so the funds the retirees get are EVEN MORE reduced for buying-power.

This is the sort of absolute DISASTER one gets w. constant, endless, deficit-spending and imperialist warfare, sucker. Note earlier, Bernard Mandeville (1705) wrote his "The Grumbling Hive" which similarly posed a thriving economy by means of participants all working for their simple self-interest, BUT in a rationalist fashion, governed by rule-of-law.

And even earlier, both Thomas Hobbes and John Locke posed the larger political system governed by RATIONAL self-interest, their pt. being we're all necessarily self-interested by nature, the thing now to being is most rationalistic in accord therewith, hence the rationalist social-contract.

What thou art totally over-looking about Crowley is he pushed a gross self-INDULGENCE in DIS-REGARD for reason and rule-of-law, there being no rationalist rule-of-law for Crowley--total SUBJECTIVISM--whereas the aforementioned Englishmen (Smith fm Scotland) presumed the objective reality.

If American military equipment was of such a paramount importance in the victory of USSR over Germany – to the point of making USSR contribution insignificant, how come that magic military equipment doesn’t perform the same miracles for US themselves.

Here is my suggestion, since the American weapons are so superior that they have magical powers – next time US goes to war – send just the weapons by themselves – without the American soldiers.

They American weapons should be able to win those wars all by themselves, the same way they won it for USSR- without any meaningful contribution by the Russians. Stalin was wrong. His “Quantity has a quality all its own” was meant to say that USSR had numerical superiority in man and weapons which will prevail in the end. USSR had not only numerical superiority – they had qualitative superiority as well – in certain areas. They made the best tank of WW2 – T34, Germans build Panthers and Tigers which were better than T34 – but that was only after the rude awakening after they saw T-34 in action.
